Ingredients for Cannabutter:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1/4 ounce (7 grams) of ground cannabis flower (adjust amount based on desired potency)

Decarboxylate your cannabis: Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C). Spread the ground cannabis evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30-40 minutes. This process activates the THC in the cannabis, making it psychoactive when consumed.
In a saucepan, combine the butter and enough water to cover the butter.
Add the decarboxylated cannabis to the saucepan and simmer over low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. Do not let the mixture come to a boil.
After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a container, pressing on the cannabis to extract all the liquid.
